Why do people fear

Death?

It's such a normal part

Of life.

Just another journey

To another world

Filled with glittering

Jewels and diamond

Pearls, according to

Man.

Our lives are like sand.

With each wave

It gets shorter.

Before we drink

Our last porter.

Nothing but sweeping

Away the old

And in with the new.

And isn't that what we do?

How far can you go, fearing it

If it's going to catch you

Anyway without warning.

And as it strikes

I wonder if you'll still

Be asking, "Why?"

A/N: This is just amateur poetry so please don't critique it so harshly.
