Ok, just want to say I’m so sorry that I forgot about this story! Must be the preparation for the exam...Sorry!
BTW: Tina makes her chauffeur drop her near the school, and not in the school itself.
I glanced at my timetable. It said that I had Music Studies for my first period. Music Studies is cool, it’s not difficult, you just have to be able to do two things. One, you had to be able to play at least one instrument well. Two, you had to be able to understand and interpret music, I mean, musical history. For example, you could be asked who created what instrument and so on.
I strode into the classroom. I knew I was late, but I also knew that as the new student, I would be excused. Thirty pairs of eyes stared at me.
“You must be Tina. Come on in. My name is Miss. Joanne, I hope that you will be able to come on time next time.” I noticed that she had intentionally left out my last name. Gratefully, I beamed at her. It had the effect it held on every teacher. She smiled back.
“Well, you can sit beside Christopher there.” She pointed at a fair-haired boy who had chocolate brown eyes. He smiled sweetly before telling the teacher that he would take care of me. I realised that he was the typical straight As student. Of course, the killer smile made girls watch him out of the corner of their eyes. He quickly finished taking notes and began to answer the teacher’s question. With other guys, girls would say he was a nerd but with him the girls seemed to catch their breath.
“Your name is Tina?” I nodded. I didn’t care for those popular hot-shots,, as I’ve said before, so my nod was kind of curt. I shut out surrounding noise and focused explicitly on the lesson in front of me.
Five minutes to the end of the lesson, the principal called me to his office. He then got this senior to help me. Tony had the boy-next-door countenance, and he was part of the SilverRivers, too. He fit the description, being hot and popular. He accompanied me to my next class, Advanced English Literature. I saw Nicholas there. Unfortunately. I thanked Tony quickly and settled down into my seat. The teacher assigned me to sit next to Nicholas. I was surprised when I didn’t feel a thing. I could tell that he was watching me, but I knew that he didn’t know exactly how I felt about him. I was being my usual self; so quiet that I made everyone wonder.
I didn’t mean to, if only I could kick the habit that meant I would always be quiet, thoughtfulness except to those who know me well enough? It's because I... wanna... protect my heart. My heart belongs to only me.I have to protect it as best I can.
At this point, a flamboyantly dressed girl entered the room. Ten minutes late, and dressed so revealingly mostly everyone drooled.
“Melissa. How kind of you to join us...TEN MINUTES LATE?” The girl ignored him at sat by Tony. I deduced that she was from SilverRivers. They spoke a while, and she threw Lily a look of pure hate. I watched Lily shudder. Humph, people just did not know what to do, now do they?
During recess, Lily and I started eating. As I ate, I let my mind take me back to Matthew and the beautiful memories we shared together. I also let it take me through today’s events once over. It was ok. My next subject was Social Studies, and I knew Lily would take me there...
“You’d be, like, ditching Nicholas, and he doesn’t take kindly to that... though he’s sweeter than Tony, but he’s also colder inside. Trust me, you so don’t want to mess with him.” I sighed. Honestly, I knew he took an interest in me, but I didn’t want to be paired with him. I mean, we had to pretend we were a couple and play with the idea of children and act out how we love each other and why did we/why did we not choose to have children. In a skit. The thought of being close to him sickened me. Guys like him only want thing, and that thing just isn’t love.
You see,we had been doing some stuff when The Social Studies teacher suddenly asked us to do this , I hated her with a venomous hatred. How could she pair me up with Nicholas? It was just so stupid...
