-1After finding out that Hakura’s evil, the group is sent to Demon World to fix 8 continents, destroy the government and kill off Hakura before the seals between the human world and the Demon World are broken. But they only have a year. Can Densuke and his friends beat the ticking of time, or will a year end before they can really get started?

Part 1: Entering Demon World

Intro

“There has said to be several strange things happening lately in our little Tokyo,” A TV announcer said on the TV in Densuke’s room. “Is appears that random destruction and random deaths that seem to be supernatural have been happening from where it started in Tokyo, and is quickly spreading across Japan. Hopefully, Scientist can find what it is before the ‘curse’ known as ‘The Haiku’ reaches other islands. It is said to be moving and spreading, and not caring who’s in its way.”

Densuke was eating his breakfast. Or at least trying to. His nerves made him feel like throwing up every single piece of food he tried to stomach. He talked to Iro the other day, and Iro didn’t exactly help in calming Densuke down.

“You have to be at the gate to Demon World at exactly noon today. If you’re even a minute late, you won’t get another chance until about nine months. And by then, you won’t have enough time to fight Hakura and make sure everything calms down and is balanced out.” Iro instructed.

“Do you think we’ll be attacked right away?” Densuke asked.

“Can’t really say. I guess it depends on which continent you land on.”

“Continent?” Densuke cocked his head to the side a little in confusion.

“Don’t tell me you don’t know that much about Demon World. Gawd, you humans don’t know anything about us. Okay, listen up. There are several continents that resemble their element. There’s the aqua continent, fire, earth, plant, lighting, ice, the continent in the sky, and ninja continent.”

“Ninja is an element?” Densuke asked with a bit of the “you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-me” tone of voice.

“It’s a continent, alright. And you should watch your tail more than ever in that country. The weakest demon there is twice as strong as you are now.”

“So, which of the continents are the most likely to be okay with humans being there?”

“ I guess perhaps the plant and earth. The others will destroy anybody who’s not from their land, so I suggest you, you know, play it safe there.”

“What do you think Hakura will make us do? I mean, she did say that she’ll have us do something. Why else would she give us a year to be there.”

“I’m not the one to ask.” Iro said. “But whatever it is, it’s not going to be good. I suggest you watch your back, especially with those who wish to be your ally. Even if they seem like they would never hurt you, be careful. Demons are full of deception, especially to humans.”

“Okay.” Densuke said with a slight nod of the head. “I’ll do that.”

“And don’t get yourself kill by Hakura either. I want to hear your experience in my world.”

“By the way, which continent are you from?”

“Ninja.” Iro said. “How else do you think I managed to live this long with so many people on my tale.”

“Are you liked there. Like, will your name help us any way if we ever have to go there?”

“My name?” Iro laughed. “That’s a good one. My name will only get you killed.”

“Why, what did you do?”

Beeping went off, and Iro looked at his watch. He looked back at Densuke as he started to walk off.

“I have a meeting to go to. If I don’t get to see you before you go, I want to wish you luck, and to be safe. Oh, and one last thing, this might help a lot: Demon World has one language.”

“One language?”

“Or rather, anything that anybody speaks, they can understand you. Like Aiji’s little girlfriend, you’ll be able to understand each other.”

“She’s coming on this trip?”

“As is Aiji.” Iro spoke. “I figured the more the merrier, right?”

Densuke started to think about Aiji and Ryuku on the trip together and started to frown.

“With Ryuku and Aiji together, I think it’ll be anything but merrier.”

Iro laughed as he walked away, waving at Densuke without facing him. That all happened two days ago. And today was the day. How was Densuke suppose to feel? He finally knew who his mother’s killer was, and he knew where she was residing. The mystery had been cleared. And he had the strength to find her. And within a year in Demon World, he should be able to grow strong enough to destroy her. Especially with his friends.

But he couldn’t help but feel nervous for his new world. He didn’t know what to expect. He didn’t know how much he was going to have to fight, or who to trust. That was the thing with demons. The uglier, horrible ones could be the nice ones, while the human looking ones could be the ones who wanted to kill you. It was just hard to think about. And with his friends there, who knew what could happen. If one of them got hurt, who would they turn to? How could they know to turn to somebody.

As Densuke finished the rest of the food that he could, he grabbed a bag full of food and headed towards the door. As he grabbed the door handle, he stopped and looked around the house. He looked at his living room, and then the kitchen, and then the hall that lead to his room and his dad’s room. This could very well be the last time he would see this room. Even if he didn’t die, there was the chance he didn’t defeat Hakura, and that the world could be overrun by demons. But if that happened, would demons be able to be seen by humans? The only reason that humans could see them was because of a special deal, wasn’t it? If you don’t occupy the earth, human’s can’t see it? That’s what Densuke thought.

With one last whiff of his home’s scent, Densuke nodded. He knew what he had to do, and he headed towards the front of his house.

When he got in front of his apartment complex, he saw the five of his friends waiting. They had their one bag packed, and they all looked at him as he started to come out.

“You guys are already out here?” he asked, surprise to see them all situated. It even seemed like they had been waiting there for a while. If so, why didn’t they just come and get him?

“There’s no way we can relax with all this going on.” Ryuku said. “You’ve seen the news. Hakura has let demons start to viciously kill humans like no other lately? And now it’s starting to spread outside of Japan. Pretty soon, people are going to be too afraid to even step outside their doorsteps, and that’s when the demons will really be able to take over.”

“But that’s why we have to stop all of this while we can.” Densuke said. “The faster we kill Hakura, the faster we can.”

“But Densuke,” Yuri whined. “She’s my mom. I can’t just kill my mother after thinking she was dead all these years. Imagine if it was your mom.”

“I…” Densuke started to defend, but that last line had stopped him. Yuri resumed.

“It’s not like I had her all my life either. Don’t you think there are questions I need to ask as well? Things I want to know. Like, why she didn’t come back? Or, why she never showed herself to me until the other day after al these years of me being a demon Hunter? I still have life mysteries.”

“I understand, Yuri.” And that was all Densuke said.

“But you have to think about it, Yuri.” Yuki started to. “She’s trying to destroy the world. Even Densuke would kill his mother if she was evil.”

“Yuki, don’t.” Densuke said. “I know what Yuri’s going through. I understand. We’ll worry about the situation when it happens. Not a second sooner.”

The group nodded. He looked at everybody and then sighed. He looked at his watch. It was almost noon.

“Should we head over to the spot?”

“If not, we may not have a chance to save earth from demons.”

“Alright.” Densuke said solemnly. “Let’s go.”

The group was under the sewage line, and they sat there, waiting. It was a little over noon, and there was no portal, nor was there anything that could have taken them there. Densuke and his friends weren’t sure if this was the right spot. According to the directions it was, but nothing was there.

“Are you sure we’re here? I mean, Iro did say exactly noon, didn’t he?” Ryuku asked with a frustrated sigh.
“That’s what he said, and I still see nothing.” Yuri pointed out.

“I don’t know. Maybe this is the wrong–” Densuke started to say, but he saw Iro come out of the shadows.

“Where the hell have you been?” Ryuku questioned impatiently.

“I’m sorry. These tunnels are so long and there’s so many of them. I didn’t think that I would find my way down here. You’re the only ones who have directions to this place. I had to use my instincts. I’m sorry if I was so slow.” Iro said, feigning apology as he glared at Ryuku. But his face brightened as he saw Densuke. “So, you and your group are ready to go.”

“Yes. And you’re going to show us the way to Demon World.”

“Yeah, but you can only enter once, and you can only leave once. After you leave, you can never come back. It’s just something in the genes of humans. Demons can come back and forth all they want, but Humans…” he trailed off to something more important. “Well, I got you guys your weapons.”

“Weapons? We have our spirit swords.” Yuri stated.

“Yes, that’s what I’m worried about.” Iro said as he unwrapped a bundle of cloth.

“What do you mean?” Yuki asked.

“The spiritual energy in demon world is demonic, meaning it’s nothing you guys will be able to use at first. There’s angelic energy, demonic, and the mixture, which is you humans. You’re probably more used to using more angelic energy than demonic even if you had to choose out of only those two. So, that’s why I got you six these…” he said as he presented the weapons.

“Katanas?” Yuki asked bluntly. “How are we suppose to kill supernatural beings with a human made weapon?”

“They might just look like Katanas, but as long as their not in their sheath, they take out as much energy as you use when you use your spiritual sword.”

“So, it transforms the demonic energy to human spirit energy?”

“Not only that, but you can do what you want with it like your weapons. Such as…” Iro changed the sword into a spear. And then he made a duplicate of the spear. “But that will take some getting use to of the demonic aura around you. You’ll only be able to have a sword right now. Give it about a month and you’ll be as strong in demon world as you are in the human world.”

“Thanks Iro.”

“No problem. Well, you should probably get heading out before the portal closes.”

“Where is the portal?” Aiji asked. “We’ve been here forever and I haven’t seen the stupid thing.”

Iro slashed the air with one of the swords, and out come a rift in the area. There was a tear in the atmosphere, swirling with different colors like a tie-dye shirt.

“This is the way you get in, and the way to get out is to get on top of Mt. Fujibayashi. The locals will tell you where it’s at.”

“Okay.” Densuke said with a nod.

“Oh, one last thing. It’s too important for you to not hear.” Iro said, and the group gave him their full attention. “Your bodies are going to get used to the Demonic aura in the area.”

“What do you mean?” Densuke asked.

“Everything in Demon World is demonic. Even the oxygen is demonic. Meaning your bodies are going to be infesting with demonic stuff, and your bodies aren’t going to be able to fight it.”

“What’s going to happen.”

“First, you’ll puke and have diarrhea for a few days. Then, eventually, you won’t be able to move at all. You’ll be too sick to move. It’ll hurt just keep your eyes open or speak. But after a week, you’ll get better.”

“How are we suppose to defend ourselves during that week?” Ryuku asked.

“Well, if I guess right, the weaker ones will get sick first. And if you guys can hold out long enough, you’ll have somebody to guard you guys while you get sick.”

“And if we get sick all at the same time?” Yuki questioned sternly.

“I guess you guys are screwed.” Iro said seriously. The group just looked at him, absorbing the information of what they just heard. They could die from this whole mission in the beginning. Would it really be worth it? “Well, you guys should go.” Iro started. “The portal’s time is running out.”

“Right,” Densuke said with a slight nod.

“I wish you guys the best of luck. Now, get on out of here. You need to destroy Hakura before she’s able to open up the gates between here and Demon World.”

“I thought you said only a god could open it.”

Iro only gave a nervous smile. “Looks like I lied.” he said, and shoved the group throw the portal. The last words the group left before going onto their adventure was: “IRO!!!”
