Red is the rocks of the canyon lands
Red is the blood on my soiled hands

Red is the color that binds me

Blue is the sky so large and wide
Blue is the salt water of the sea
Blue is my eyes of sadness

Blue is the color that reminds me

Grey is the clouds during a storm
Grey is the coarse fur of the wolf
Grey is my old and tattered clothes

Grey is the color that holds me

Green is the leaves on the small spring trees
Green is the new grass growing everywhere
Green is my envy for those without colors

Green is the color that molds me

Purple is the mountains during a sunset
Purple is the grapes when ripened
Purple is my scars and bruises

Purple is the color that tears me

White is the fluffy clouds in the sky
White is the snow so cold and wet
White is my skin so soft and frail

White is the color that scares me

Brown is the soil of fertile lands
Brown is the bark of the great oak tree
Brown is my feet from endless walking

Brown is the color that fills me

Black is the long empty tunnel
Black is the raven perched so high
Black is my poor heart and soul

Black is the color that kills me

The colors that make me
