NATURAL

Is it natural. . .
To look beyond the mirror,
And see a piece of glass?
To have so many questions,
But never have them asked?

Is it natural. . .
To want to scream so loud,
But end up with a strangled sob?
To walk through the door
Without twisting the knob?

Is it natural. . .
To think so very long,
But not think at all?
To write literature
Without the usual scrawl?

Is it natural. . .
To wait for rain,
Instead of the sun?
To be all alone
Without being shunned?

Is it natural. . .
To have a mask
Securely on your face?
To act upon will,
And not be a disgrace?

Is it natural. . .
To act this way,
And all that rot?
To do such things?
. . . I think not.
