a/n: how I feel in my Christian walk at times. I go to Him for strength when a bad situation comes along...then when it is over, I go back to living my life "on my own."

Peeping through the holes in the fence

I feel like I can’t look otherwise.

I’m so small in comparison.

But You told me to quit

To quit watching from my fence.

You keep talking

It isn’t making sense.

I keep walking back.

But why away from You?

You beacon to me

With those arms wide open.

I feel like running to You

My source of comfort

In those times of need.

But otherwise

I don’t stay.

I’m the worst.

The fair-weather friend.

I can’t straddle the fence

You said so…
