Tears, tears

Aching, burning in my

Eyes

Welling, pooling behind my

Lids

Thick and heavy

(Hot. Salty. Bitter.)

---

Fears, fears

Gnawing, clawing

Writhing in my

Stomach

Biting at my

Heart

Rears its' ugly head

Wailing horrid cries

Joy dies

Terror sets in

---

Longing, longing

Craving, straining

Don't let go. Don't

Release.

Struggle to grasp onto

Sanity

Sureness

(.Security)

Try and Reach for

That last helpful hand

---

Faster, Faster

Beating heart and

Painful breath in an aching

Chest

Holding troves of

(Pain. Fear. Buckets of Worry)

A pint of shame

---

Never, never

Let go, ever

Slip away and lose it

All

Fight to keep my

Rose among Thorns

or Fail and

Fall

Abyss of fear

Swallow me whole in my

Unspoken worry

Building dread

Senseless paranoia

---

Clinging, clinging

To heat of that

Embrace

Fire of the

Heartbeat

And the reassuring, rhythmic

Breath

(.deep)

Plan to keep this

Silken Rose from the

Coal and Ash

The stain of my Black

Paranoia
