Note: I do not mind what interpretations you make of this poem, but seeing as it is rather vague in places, I will explain it is a personal poem I wrote for people who sacrifice a lot - even something like love- for belief...
Watching Love
Love! I watch you, watching me. I watch
You heave my gaze from the torrenting
Of my emotions: like an anchor,
Sinking.
-
Too; my heart sinks, though sense
Screams ‘way the merging fate,
Of horrors of hell that reel
In hate.
-
So, I’ll shy away from
Your love, though my heart’ll die.
Now, you ask I love you?
I lie.
