The Plunge

But knew I didn't feel the same

You drew away

And bowed your head in shame.

How can you be so sure?

You never asked

I held my doubt inside me

Dark and hidden behind my mask.

It said its alright

I wasn't scared

I was just glad

To know you cared.

Maybe I should have been strong

And told you right away

But I didn't want to give you false hope

And then have to pay.

Maybe I was scared

I was so unsure

But now I think

I've found the cure.

Just take a deep breath

And plunge all in

We might loose,

But then again, we might win.

Risk is life

Chance and change

Forget the old

And open a new page.

So I've made my choice

And opened my heart

I'll be whatever you need

I'll play the perfect part.

I'm right here waiting

For you hold the key
