I got lost in a dream last night

Twirling through Russia’s tunnels and lights

Watching snow fall up

As if the world turned sour and heaven wanted it’s

Angels back.

You appeared in this dream as a snowdrop

And as I caught you in an ice grey hand

You melted, features twisting, distorting

Whilst you seeped through my fingers

To freeze on the ground below.

Misshapen you smiled up at me

Catching my frozen tears on your cheeks

And whispered,

‘You know I’ve set you free’
