Timeless
Dust gathers upon the timeless
Ageless.
Blanketing the secrets the world did not want displayed,
Darkening the story that ancients had created,
Closing the doors to the unanswered,
Filling questions with illusions,
Keeping us in a place of ignorance
Deceit.
Still the past remains uncovered,
As we strive to immortality,
The ancients knew without our knowledge,
That man was not to soar the skies,
Yet we place ourselves in immortality
Divinity.
We sadly wish ceaseless superiority,
And the ancients watch our demise,
Perfection is our only goal,
An ambition that would end like Caesar’s,
Yet we fail to recognise the ageless
Timeless.
