I wish we could go back

To the times when

Catching autumn leaves was amazing,

And we smiled at just the sun’s blazing,

When climbing trees,

And running from bees

Were the thrills of our lives,

When we snuck out late at night

Just to watch the fireflies light,

A time when school was fun,

And we liked to run,

When holding hands

Meant we were best friends,

And kisses on the cheek

Were quick and meek,

A time when life was carefree,

And so full of possibilities,

Before we were grown,

Before reality was known,

When the world didn’t matter,

Before we knew our hearts could shatter,

Before you and I

Said goodbye.
