By the hands of a killer all pain will cease.

Poison is the only cure of this disease.

So here we stand. All split in two

Between the things we’re told and the things we’ll choose.

Between a life and a list of rules.

Let us stray into the Land of Nod

Away from this omnisient god.

And here we pray, for none can hear,

“Now that we’ve exploited every hope and fear

We need a sign that someone cares.”

And will we be welcomed will we fit in

Would any God forgive these sins.

Can he see our flawed design

That this evil was planted in our souls and minds

Can we be blamed

Can you blame the children of Cain

Did we chose our fate

did you help us in our moments of need

where were you when we cried and bleed.

What are we?

a Product of neglect?

or a lonely intelect?

Half sinner half sublime

part damned part divine.

We were the children of Cain.

and children we remain.
