Summary: Her souls been ripped and torn apart, but her love, though unrequited...awaits for her prince in shining armor...for them to be reunited.

I wrote this for English class and it's a lot better then I expected so I thought I'd put it on here to see what you think!

She knew that he would never change

And yet always she came back

For every time he broke her heart

It gained another crack.

Every time he left her

She swore she’d never take his hand

Telling her heart she didn’t love him

Hoping it would understand.

Cinderella’s glass slipper broke

Only shattered pieces as proof of

Anything she could have felt

The only evidence of her love.

Snow white’s prince forgot to come

A kiss was too much to ask

Loving her was way too much

Of a tedious, unwanted task.

The clock chimes at midnight,

The apple’s poisoned with no cure

Love’s a disease that hurts your heart

Something she’s got to endure.

She knew that he would never change

But she savored those precious times

When he returned and said ‘I love you’

And for a moment she felt sublime.

Her souls been ripped and torn apart

But her love, though unrequited

Awaits for her prince in shining armor

For them to be reunited.
