They found Ann moments later. She was lying on her back in a daze. She was trembling. Noiz was in terror at the mere sight of her. "Ann?" Chris asked. "Ann?" There was no response. She was too far gone. It was an awful sight really. Her husband had to pull her to her feet and walk for back to their suite. "It's okay, dear," he kept telling her over and over again. "It's okay."
The next morning, chief and Chris took Ann away to a mental hospital. They took her before the sun rose. Chris was reluctant to do this, but he had no other choice. "I don't want to see her suicidal!" Chief announced. The cop nodded. He waited until sunrise to tell Stanly. It didn't go out well. "I HATE YOU DAD!!! I HATE YOU!!!" the boy yelled. "YOU SAID WE WEREN'T TAKING HER TO THE NUTHOUSE! HOW COULD YOU?!? I HATE YOU!!!" Then, Stanly ran back to the suite. Chris kept his face.
Classes at Tokyo-Zion Academy had started again. The students were already in their classes. Rob walked up and down the halls peeking into the different classrooms at the different teachers. When he got to the creative class, he noticed that a certain teacher wasn't in her classroom. Concerned, Rob went looked for her.
A few minutes later, he heard sobbing on the stairs. The mouse boy turned and saw Noizchild sitting on the stairs in tears. Concerned, Rob slowly approached her. The kitty looked up with tear-filled eyes. "Aw, what's wrong?" Rob asked her in pity. Noiz looked down in sorrow.
"I couldn't save her!" she whimpered out softly. "I failed to help her. It was all in her journal. I was too blind to see the truth! I could've helped her, but I failed!" Rob lightly turned her face to him. Rob lightly turned her face to him. Noiz's big brown eyes were teary. He slowly sat down beside her. "Listen," the mouse spoke up. "The damage was beyond your help. Even Chris and Stanly were in over their heads with Ann. She's in a better place now. Do you understand?" Noiz nodded as she sobbed. Rob smiled. He lightly wiped away her tears. "Good," he said. "Now, got to your classes. Your students are waiting for you!" Noiz began to smile again. Then, she rose to her feet and walked to her creative writing class. Rob watched her leave.
Outside in the snow, little snow combers were looking through the snow for anything they could get their little hands on. They were pretty lucky today! The combers collected loose change, buttons, bottle caps, bits of broken glass, soda tabs, and other small items. One little girl found a full bottle of hot vodka standing up in the snow. Curious, she picked it up, opened the bottle, and sniffed the liquid. Disgusted by the scent, the girl winced and poured it out on the snow below.
As everyone acted like normal, every one of them remembered an old song for Ann:
All alone, or in twos
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall
Some hand in hand
Some gathering together in bands
The bleeding hearts and the artists
Make their stand
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad buggers
Outside The Wall
Isn't This Where We Came In?
