Perfect Fake

I've been waiting on you,
More than you could know,
This worlds melancholic state,
Leaves me hurting in you're wake.

You walk away and still can't see,
The untamed child silent in me,
Tears held obediately in check,
Calm, composed, inside a wreck.

Trying to be what you need,
What you want is what you read,
Perfect, tamed, and never late,
You're too blind to see my hate.

You want a modelled doll, a fake
Moulded, shaped without mistake,
Judging by societies levels,
The twisted influence of the devil.

You don't see the true me,
Too fat, too thin, is what you see,
Pick at flaws that don't exist,
I hurt and cry but still persist.

One day you'll see the woman that I am,
The strength I hide belied by calm,
I'll walk out and be happy still,
But until then, persist I will...
