Well, here I am. I'm outside and I'm not doing anything. I'm just sitting on the benches watching all the other kids play, looking down at my shoes. Mommy made me wear my Spiderman shoes. I don't like these that much, they don't light up like my Superman shoes. Plus, Superman wears his underwear on the outside. I tried doing that one time at my house but I didn't get to for very long before I got into trouble.
It's windy. Good thing I have my jacket! It's my blue jacket with all the red letters on it! I don't know what it says, but all the grown-ups today have laughed at it and told me it was cute. Another teacher said she liked my blonde hair. That it was the same color as her little girl's hair. She also said that my green eyes were very pretty. I'm a boy. I'm not supposed to look pretty! The lady also said something about my dimples. What are dimples? They sound funny. I wonder if they look funny. I don't want Jenny to think I look funny!
I like watching Jenny play with Barbies underneath the slide with all her other friends. She brought them outside in her big pink backpack. Her backpack has a barbie on it, too. Gee, Jenny sure is pretty. I like her hair. It's my favorite color of red. It's LONG, too. Almost down to her butt! Not even my Mommy's hair is that long!
I look over a little ways away from the slide, and I see Jenny's backpack. The Barbie is looking at me. I don't think I like that Barbie very much, afterall. I want to see what's inside it, though. What sort of girl things does Jenny have? Or does she carry around cars? That'd be really cool! A girl that carries around cars! I want to make sure nobody is watching me so I look around. I see a bunch of people playing on the monkey bars. A boy just fell down and now a grown up is helping him put a stickie on his knee! Then he got back up on the monkeybars. He fell down again and cried a lot. I thought it was kind of funny. Over in the field, some of the bigger kids were playing kickball. Somebody told me we get to play that when we get older, too. I just don't see why it's fun. All you do is kick a ball and run around. Older kids are so weird. On the merry-go-round another one of the bigger kids is pushing the little kids really really fast. If I was on there, I'd probably throw up. There was a dog by the road. Some of the kids from my class were trying to chase it and some grown ups had to get them back. It was a pretty doggy, it almost looked like my dog Spot. Only spot has a black tail, not a brown one like that dog has.
Ok. Here it goes. I'm carefully walked over to Jenny's backpack and looked inside. She wasn't paying attention. Her and her friends were just playing with the Barbies. They had a Ken doll, too. They were just rubbing them together for some reason. Oh well. Back to the backpack. When I looked inside I saw a hairbrush. Some of her red hair was still in it along with some brown hair. Eww, brown hair. It looked like poop. I don't like poop. There was a lunchbox inside so I pulled it out, too. OH MY GOSH! IT'S THE TURTLES! SHE HAS A TURTLES LUNCHBOX! I love the Turtles! I like the one with the red thing over his eyes because he's the funnies and has the coolest weapons! Wow. Jenny really IS cool. I like her. I opened up the box to see what she was going to have for lunch. There was a peanut butter sandwhich, a few carrot sticks, (eew. I don't like carrotts. They make me throw up), a cookie (mmmm, cookie!) and a juicebox. She drinks applejuice. Applejuice is REALLY good. Maybe, if I ask her, we can eat lunch together. She can give me half her cookie and I can give her half of my twinkie! That would be awesome. Gosh, she's so pretty. Her hair is so nice. I like her laugh. What should I ask her? What if she says no? I'm getting scared already. If she says no, how will I talk to her again? Will we ever get to play cars again? Uh, oh. My tummy is feeling funny. I think I'm gonna throw up! BLEH! Oops..Oh no! I got it all in Jenny's lunchbox! I closed it fast and ran away.
Later, when it was time for lunch, we were sitting in that room again when Jenny opened her lunchbox. She yelled and then started to cry "Someone threw up in my lunchbox! Waaaaaaaaaaa! Who did it?" she wanted to know. Oh no. How am I going to tell her? I know I should, but I'm scared if I do she won't want to play with me anymore. I feel so bad. That cookie looked really good, too. I should give her my twinkie, but if I do she'll know it was me that threw up in her lunchbox. No more playings cars, no more more playing with her at all. Watching her cry over her twinkie makes me want to cry. Mommy always told me to tell the truth, but I can't. My tummy is feeling weird again. Just tell the truth! I need to tell the truth! I can't lie and say I don't know who did it! Because Mommy told me that kids who lie don't get toys from Santa on Christmas. And I really want Santa to visit so he'll bring me my new G.I Joe toy and the new Turtles movie! I really want that movie, too. He's supposed to bring me a new bike. A big boy bike! The bike I have now has the training wheels on it and we can't take them off. So I wrote Santa and asked for a new bike. I hope he brings I really want it, I have to tell the truth. It's so hard, though! Waaaaa. Now I'm crying! Uh oh, here comes Jenny.
"Tommy, why are YOU crying?" she wiped away some water she had in her eyes.
"Jenny, I'm soooo sorry! I was the one that threw up in your lunchbox! I ran away from it at recess because I was afraid that if you knew it was me you wouldn't play cars with me anymore and that you wouldn't play with me at all and we'd never be friend and waaaaaaaaa."
"It's ok, Tommy. I'm not mad. And we can play with cars at recess tomorrow if you want." She was a little mad, I knew it. But she was being so nice about it.
"You can have part of my twinkie if you want it." I told her.
"A TWINKIE! Yay! I love twinkies!" So I got it out of my lunchbox and gave her a piece. I let her have a drink of my juice, too. It was grape. That made her happy, too. Lunch was really nice. We ate together and we told each other jokes! It was so much fun! And the next day at recess, we both brought cars outside and played with them! Jenny is such a really good friend
