Every day she hears the lie she's worthless

She's had a hard life

She doesn't know where to go from here.

She saw her Daddy pick up the knife,

she heard Mommy's scream

She knows she'll never get over it.

She remembers the musty corner

alone with her brother

shivering and shaking afterwards.

Every day she hears she's a waste of society

they don't know, but they judge anyway

she doesn't know what hope feels like.

Every day she hears she shouldn't have been born

but she refuses to believe,

she seeks desperately for the answers.

She longs to hear someone cares

She longs for someone to love her

she doesn't realize, because she's never been told

it's already there.

She may never find her hope

unless someone shares

she may never see redemption

unless someone shares.

When she comes up to you

will you tell her everything

or will you stand there, so scared

you'd risk another's life?

Would you risk another's life?
