Bring back the days we used to have

Where we both smiled over nothing

When silence was not awkward

And saying stupid things was cute

Like those days where we fought over nothing

Just because there was nothing better to do

And when staying up late was preferred

Over getting no sleep at all

For the days when I would walk

Oh so far I would walk, just to see you

No matter how hot or cold, windy or rainy

I always did it if I could see you for a minute

I miss the moments when we’d stare at each other

Trying to make the other smile

And I long for the hours that I’d spend

Feeling like seconds when I was with you

I wish I wouldn’t miss it

I wish these memories would leave

Because it surely is not better to have loved and lost

Than to have never loved at all
