To try to burst the seams of what others have sewn,

To give as much as you can, exhale twice as much as you inhale.

Remembrance is all one can ask for when life’s done,

The mocking glow of living flora upon the grave,

So beautiful and pure like the remnants below the ground once were,

So beautiful and pure like the living’s memories should be.

So what is life?

Life is all we know right now.

Death could be more wonderful, still,

We fear the unknown with involuntary ignorance,

Thinking after we write our stories,
