A+ A- |
along the silent twilight path;
in the nuances of muted birdsong,
and among the tangled roots.
there are tales to be discovered
glowing truths amongst the early stars,
and beneath the placid waters.
There are runes to be recovered
scattered in the windswept grasses,
and buried, dreaming beneath the ground.
Skeletal poetry, shards of story.
Sparkling vestiges of the long ago.
Walk softly, and with reverance,
behold with wonder, the purpled land all about you,
intoxicating in its fragile beauty.
Hear its voice high and clear in the smoky air;
a chant, a prayer, a wish to be understood,
and to be remembered.
Feel the land all about you,calling out to you,
as it relinquishes its eternal secrets,
the past like mist, slowly rising;
the earth at dusk, exuding musky Mystery.
