Captain Tory

Once there was a young boy who had a very great father who loved him a lot. His name was Tory, and his father was “Troy” who would call his son “Captain Tory”. From that day on everybody called him “Captain Tory”. They always did many things like going down to the docks to fish and sail around the ocean which was very adventurous. The both of them had the spirits of sailors! Since they were so close to sailing they decided to build a house so close to the sea that every time they opened their windows they would see the wide spreads of the ocean. So their work started, as they built their house. Tory’s father told his sailing friends if they can help them build the wondrous house and each one said “Definitely as you are one of my greatest mates” or “It would be a wondrous surprise to see a house like that so I would like to give a hand”. After a while of nailing and painting, the wonderful house had enough room for a whole bunch of sailors to live in. Captain Tory thought and said “Wouldn’t it be great if every one of our friends lived with us, Dad?” Troy putted his hand on his son’s right shoulder and yelled “It tis’ a perfect idea!” Everybody cheered out loud as they build more beds for each other. The very next morning (Troy’s mate slept at his house since it was going to be there new home) all of Troy’s mates weren’t in there beds…He checked the kitchen and everywhere else but they were nowhere to be found. Where did they all go? Troy thought to himself. He opened the front and saw all his mates standing on the dock with a new furnished sail ship having a name Tory on the side of it. Jack, one of his five mates, waved his hand towards the ship and exclaimed “This present we wish to give you and your son for such kind generosity to let us stay in your new home!” Troy’s hand trembled as he couldn’t think what to say. “Thank you….Thank you so much! It is a spectacular ship of wonderful craftsmanship!” Troy and all his mates hugged one other as he was as happy as ever to make such fine things to happen. Captain Tory came running excitedly out of the house and crashed right into Troy’s lap. Troy fell down, holding his son up in the air; every body laughed crying as they were becoming one happy family together. Captain Tory looked at the stupendous ship and said “Wow! Look dad! The ship has your name on it! Can sail tonight? Oh can we?” Troy smiled and whispered in his little ear “Definitely!” So that very night after supper, Tory and Troy, Both wearing Captain suits waved their lantern to his sailor mates and they sailed the schooner towards them. The boat came closer and closer and finally hinted the dock.

Captain’s Log
They loaded there supplies on the schooner and went off for there long journey… Many days passed and things fine. There were still many supplies to be used. There main food was fish that was found in the sea and fruits from islands like Madagascar and Guam (they were sailing in Canada. They went down the ocean

to find these tropical places). The villagers were kind and friendly people. We gave them syrup from Canada and some pancakes for fresh delicious fruits like papaya’s and mangos. The days were fabulous. We did manage to get stuck in a few storms but we made through it without a scratch (even on our sail!) Some other things happened too. We found a new friend called Jewie that which helped us go through the storms. When we were in Barbados his sight of our ship became a hope of his dream. When we hooked our ship to the deck at the port he came trotting towards us and said “Hey man! Welcome to Barbados and I would love to join your men on your journey! And don’t think I want to join for a price! I just want the fighting spirit of a sailor! It’s my dream!” Well, I thought to myself… we do need a little help with some navigation and who wouldn’t want to help a man accomplish his dream? So I let him come with us on our sailing journey. Jewie was a great man. He also played his drum quite well and we danced into the beat! Many sailing days passed and we had nearly sailed all over South America and Captain Tory just had enough so we returned back to our home in Vancouver. With our new mate Jewie we lived with him in our ocean home of sailors and sailed our many days of sailing……

The end
