Blind Society
When will society see silent tears
Shed by the people with bleeding, black souls,
People made invisible by smiles and leers?
The more we ignore, the more we form holes
In people who die on forgotten knolls.
I see them and wish I could stop the pain
While I wonder if anyone else knows
Of the sorrow that falls along with the rain,
The parts of the people that still remain
After their poor rainbow souls are shredded,
And they are left with nothing more to gain
Blind society, where are you headed?
Why do you refuse to open your eyes?
It is you who will drown in all your lies.
