Here's my life, laid out before me
showing me my wrong moves
and who I decided to be.
Choices are chasing up the hall,
I'm lost in the smoky haze,
just don't know how to handle it all.
-
It's haunting me, every choice I make.
Memories are chasing me
no matter which road I take.
In the future, whatever happens to me
I just hope the reminders of my life
decide to let me free.
-
Don't you remember when we were small?
Everything seemed so easy,
things weren't hard at all.
Now we're older, the horrors go on.
But we just sit here, memories in hand
and wonder – where has time gone?
-
It's haunting me, every choice I make.
Memories are chasing me
no matter which road I take.
In the future, whatever happens to me
I just hope the reminders of my life
decide to let me free.
-
So things aren't all cupcakes and smiles,
learned that the hard way –
haven't had a peaceful sleep for a while.
And those memories play again in my head.
All the things I did to hurt you,
all those things that I said.
-
It's haunting me, every choice I make.
Memories are chasing me
no matter which road I take.
In the future, whatever happens to me
I just hope the reminders of my life
decide to let me free.
