Remember, what isn’t mine, isn’t mine

The Olio of Chronicles

The Exordium

Talofa Lava, Yafa-Yali, Kiodi, Bonjour, and Hello, my children. I am Le Tina Ai’a’ive, the first female Ai’a’ive. Long ago, very long ago, I was born in what you now call Samoa. We were human, but became Ai’a’ive, to protect the Earth. Many events unfolded, and then Ai’a’ive were spread throughout the galaxy. However, Lagi’uli, one of my grandchildren used a device to cause all the Ai’a’ive on Earth to lose their wings and powers. When she realized that she was deceived by the Eighth, who I am unhappy to think was my son, she wanted to change things, but her daughter, Tapuitea, murdered her and the rest of Lagi’uli’s children. I was long since dead, but my spirit, essence, and mana was kept in a large golden crystal, as it is to this day. It was sealed, and locked in a temple on a faraway planet. I was asleep most of the time, but I woke a bit when I realized that a Chosen Ai’a’ive had a chance. That Chosen Ai’a’ive, born human but descended from us and destined to return to us, was Sara. I let her assume her Ai’a’ive form permanently. My children were all like me, in that they too are spirits that are bounded to crystals. Seven of them, all girls, were good. They are Alofa (Love), Masina (Moon), La (Sun), Nuanua (Rainbow), Nafanua (Goddess of War), Lagi (Sky), and Sei Ma Loa (Flowers And Life). The Eighth one, Valu (Eight), a son, was evil. Not that he started off evil. But he decided that the Ai’a’ive powers should be stored away, not used to help the universe. And it was already known a chosen Ai’a’ive would arrive. A chosen Ai’a’ive he did not want. But he descended into madness, even while still alive. It was of compassion and a lack of better judgment that he, too, was crystallized after death. The crystal has since been shattered, but what becomes of the shattered crystals, we do not know.

So now you know who I am, my children. But that is not the reason I’m here. Far from it. The reason is to present you many stories. Stories that will help you better understand what was, what is, and what may be, or will be. Stories about great evil, and even greater good. Stories that span the universe, stories that can be extraordinary, and mundane. Stories as varied as that wonderful gift called…life.

So do read on, children. And be amazed. Tofa Soifua, Nisseria, Tea’a, Au Revoir, and Goodbye,

Letasi Ai’a’ive, Le Tina O Le Ai’a’ive

Author’s Notes: Well, being inspired by Showstopper, I thought that I would try something similar. And “Anthology” is taken, so I decided “Olio of Chronicles.” I will delve into many different one shots and side-stories. That is the purpose.

Peace out,
