Reflections

-

“Exavior..? Why’re we walking at this hour..?” Asked a sixteen year old, following a seventeen year old. His eyes were bright blue, and his hair was short, mud brown, and messy. He was wearing jean shorts that stopped at his knees, and a tie-dye, short sleeved shirt. His shoes were thick black boots, outlined with dark blue.

“We’re not walking, we’re exploring.” The older male corrected, picking up his pace. He was albino, so his eyes were red and his skin was pale, though his hair was black and red from hair dye, reached the ground, and was held up in a ponytail. He was wear a white, short sleeved shirt underneath a red, sleeveless tank top, grey jeans with holes in the knees, and white tennis shoes.

“We’re gonna check out this old mansion, really quick... and then Friday, we’re gonna get Mary, Ghinji, and Syd, and we’ll all go inside!” He whispered, sorta loud. It was nighttime, and mid-summer, so it was around seventy, eight degrees. After a few more minutes of walking in silence, with the occasion hiss or sigh of annoyance from a misstep, the two boys stopped at a large, torn up old mansion that was just outside city limits. The grass in it, and the two trees that were next to the side walk for dead. Though, there were a few random red star gazers in the yard, as well as a few light green leaves in the trees. The yard itself was surrounded by black iron bar fence, which was spiked, and had vines growing up around it.

“...Dang...” The younger one gasped, staring in a mixture of pure fear, and abit of amazement.

“...Ex...Exavior...? Where’d you lead us to...?” He gulped abit, looking at the Albino, which he called Exavior. Exavior smiled nervously and walked foreward, grabbing the gate gently.

“They say this house is haunted.” He started, not answering the other ones question. “Do you believe in rumors? I looked it up on the internet. What I found about this house wasn’t pretty. Because it said that anyone who entered it, either died, or committed suicide. Those that didn’t die, were either mentally scarred for life, or were put into an insane asylum saving they saw themselves as demons.” He added, glancing over his shoulder at nearly stiff younger male. “Of course, that’s just made up. Right?” He grinned abit and chuckled lightly, pushing the gate open. It swung open slowly, with a long, drawn out creaking that rust hinges made. The younger male gulped and shuddered, eyes widening abit and he backed up.

“Do we have to go in there...?” He asked.

“Yes, John, we do.” Exavior said, walking into the yard, and headed up to the house, not waiting for the younger one, who he called John, to react. John whined slightly.

“Okay...” He said and reluctantly followed him. “Are we gonna be in here long...?” He asked.

“Probably not. Depends, really. I don’t want us to see everything without the others, though, so... eh, I dunno.” Exavior said, shrugging, and tried opening the doors. “Dang... they’re shut tight...” He muttered and pushed against them. They didn’t budge. He sighed and shook his head. “Dang it. Hm... hold up.” He said, walking off the porch and went around the side of the house. John looked at him, confused, though didn’t follow and just waited on the place he’d stopped at on the porch.

“Exavior...? What’re you doing...?” He asked. He got no answer. “Exavi—“ He started, though let out a sharp yelp and jumped back as the front door opened.

“What?” Exavior blinked, standing in the doorway now, looking highly confused. John looked at him, glaring abit.

“Don’t do that!” He said, shuddering abit. “You’re gonna give me a bloody heart attack!” He added.

“Sorry.” Exavior said, scratching the side of his head, then motioned for him to follow, and turned and walked back inside.

“How’d you get inside, anyhow...?” John asked, blinking abit.

“The window.” Exavior grinned, feeling around so that he didn’t trip over anything. John followed in tow. He nodded.

“Ahh. Makes sense..” He said, glancing around. He couldn’t see a dang thing... wait... he paused, stopping. “Hey, Exavior...? What’s that..?” He asked, pointing to the side. Exavior stopped, blinking, and looked over, taking a guess on what he meant. He tilted his head, seeing what John was seeing. It was a small, dark brown box, with a gold heart in the center. It was spinning, and lit up slightly.

“Oh gosh...” He gulped.

“What..?” John asked, confused.

“John, let’s go... right now, c’mon..” Exavior said, grabbing John’s hand and took off towards the door. “We’ll come back with the others Friday and look around, let’s just go for the time being...” He added, quickly. He slammed the door shut behind them once they were outside and took off down the side walk, John in tow.

“Exavior! Are you alright?! What the heck got you so spooked...?!” He asked.

“I’ll explain later!” Exavior said, getting outside the gate and shut it after John exited it, as well.

I hope that was okay.-Smiles- It's my first attempt at 'horror' since about a year back, so it's probably not good. -Chuckles- But, I'll leave that for you to decide. I'll say abit more in the next chapter, since I ain't got time tonight, it's bed time. -Grins nervously- Happy Late St. Patrick's Day!
