And somewhere, somehow, someway, stumbling

I crashed into your arms, cautious and questioning

Your luciferous words to me silent but screaming

Never knowing your dark light was painfully dead

Staring ahead as though I were dreaming

My wings repaired by deceit, innocence torn and wasted

And I... I played the foolish fallen one.

Your beautiful strange words, I was drawn in by phrases

Emptiness I neglected to recognize in holes and spaces

Reaching out to someone, anyone, to hold and cherish me

Never ashamed for creating something so brutal and empty

Truly the Prince of Lies flies on those black wings

To whisper in your dark voice of love and eternity

I can’t expect this distance to separate me from you

Beyond even tangible things you sear my heart

In this empty world I am bound, my heart imprisoned

While your smiling lips rip my burning soul apart.
