Untitled

12.11.2006

cry yourself to sleep, then, if you’ve nothing more to say

and sleep until the fog has rolled away

you are a tender heart, dear, stay

it will all come easily this way

she’ll wrap you in her wings

she stays on earth today

for you

she sings--and brings

the life you do possess the best of

most days

back to you

this is her favored dance, as yet unseen

tomorrow you will talk and you’ll tell all

she will lift you even as you fall

the morning dew will soon becalm your face

she knows it’s your turn for a tempest

let it roar!

let it roar again!

we’ll have no manly fear here

she is strong with you beside her

whether crumpled or upstanding

let her take care

of you for once

she is to stay with you, her love

you must always tempest weather.
