Why Mankind should not have been

When Man was born and truth had died

When universal laws applied

When Earth was innocent and pure

When Man had strength yet to endure

When Man had tamed the savage beast

When history began at least

When fire was born, to wield and die

When unified were Earth and Sky

When lands and pastures still were green

When life was as it should have been

When water was untainted still

When Man did not know how to kill

When Holy was God of all things

When Man was ruled by many kings

When the skies were clear and bright

When Man was gifted with true sight

Then all the Earth was drowned in lies

Then laws no longer could suffice

Then Man turned cold to earth’s caress

Then strength of Man deemed less and less

Then Man became the savage beast

Then all was slaughtered for His feast

Then burning fire left ash in wake

Then all of sky was Man’s to take

Then Earth was black and burnt and dry

Then all that lived was left to die

Then seas were filled with oil and blood

Then Man spoke blasphemies of God

Then Man killed brother, mad with war

Then nothing left could heal the scar

When Earth corrupted to its core

Then man could not live anymore
