Chapter 2: Accidentally Lucky
"Mikuni, Where do these go?" Questions flew from every direction at Mikuni, but he was taking them all in stride. He didn't want to rush things, and he wanted this Festival to be perfect. He had somehow become the organizer of the whole thing, but that didn't bother him. He left the girls, and few guys that had asked, to the sewing and designing of the stage. He was in charge of getting the things that would be needed and having them placed in just the right spot. He had the plans in his hand, and looked at them carefully. "Those Roses go one bunch to each side of the stage near the entrance." He pointed out with his finger what he meant.
The festival was a day away, and everyone was busy trying to put the finishing touches on things that needed to be done. Luckily there hadn't been any accidents. They would be having the run through after they finished getting the stage together. The costumes were carefully kept on dress forms in another room, away from the saw dust and dirt that was in the room that would be used for the show.
Mikuni's eyes fell on the boy who was cleaning up dirt with a broom not far away. He had been told that he just had to worry about doing that. The poor kid always seemed to be falling or making some sort of mistake. It was a little amusing. His blush was just so cute. He was one of the quiet ones in class, but Mikuni knew everyone by name. That was part of being class president. He felt that he should know all of them by name, and know as much about the likes and dislikes of his fellow classmates. This one, Rori Fujia. He was a good student, if not a little clumsy and forgetful of somethings. Mikuni held a certain part of him for this boy. He really didn't know what it was, but he felt like he had to protect him. The accident in the cafeteria proved that. He had found a spare pair of clothes and pushed it under the door for him before he left. The poor kid had been searching all over for the one who had given him the clothes, but Mikuni felt it best that he kept that a secret. It would only cause the boy more harm then good, especially with his fan girls that never seemed to leave him alone. At the moment there was a group of them outside the classroom, waiting for him to come out, but Mikuni didn't want to leave. He was a little worried about the poor kid getting attacked for Mikuni even showing him such kindness.
Mikuni broke out of his thoughts as one of the girls came up to him. "Mikuni we must try on the costumes, Please leave that to someone else. This is important."
Mikuni nodded and handed the paper to one of the other boys that was nearby.
"Please hurry and finish so we can have out dress rehearsal." With that said Mikuni left to get changed, walking through the crowd of girls. He had to excuse himself as he walked away and into the room across the hall. He was met with the site of all of the other's already dressed and made up like they would be for the show. The themes were Spring, Fall, Summer, and Winter. The girls had decided since they had enough time they could make all four outfits. It seemed to be the right thing to do. Mikuni and the girl he was walking with were doing Winter. Winter turned out to be a set of old fashion looking outfits. Mikuni's was a long coat, with tights, a fluffy collared shirt, and these weird boots with buckles on them. Mikuni for the life of him couldn't remember the name of them. The female counterparts was a beautiful blue gown with a white are in the center. Both outfits had embroidery that looked like ice sickles and snow flakes, both done in a silvery thread that seemed to shine when the light hit it.
Mikuni got changed into his outfit and sat down to have his make up and hair done. 'This will be an interesting night.' Only had he known how true those words would be would have have not used them.
--
Rori sat in the crowd with the rest of the class. The only ones who were not there were the ones that were announcing, working on the stage lights and the ones helping the ones that were in the show, and of course the ones in the show. Rori could not wait to see what Mikuni looked like. He was probably very handsome. Rori sat back when he heard the music playing and watched.
"Welcome everyone to class 4-A's Fashion show. All of the outfits seen in todays show will be up for auction at the end of the show to raise money for out class trip. All the outfits, the Stage, and the show its self were designed and made by class 4-A! Now, Let us begin!"
The lights dimmed as the announcer finished.
"Everyone likes spring." That was the cue for the spring outfits to come out. The girl was dressed in a sun dress with a frilly bottom. It was made of a light pink and white lace and made to look like a rose. Her hair was up in a bonnet, and her hair hand loose down around her shoulders. Her male counter-part had on light pin short sleeve shirt, and frilly white pants that looked like flower petals. Both were wearing sandles. "With this outfit you become one with nature. Beautiful and glowing, like a flower that just bloomed."
"Summer is meant for fun in the sun!" The next set of outfits exited. The girl was wearing a skirt that had many lengths to it. It as in a blue color with white and silver bottoms to each of the rows. It was made to look like the ocean. The top was just blue like the rest of the shirt, and tied around the middle was a white band that tied into a bow at the back. Her hair was half up and half down, decorated with blue and white flowers. The guy she was with was dressed in golds and yellows. His shirt was a short sleeved shirt with rips in it. His pants were a gold with the bottom's flaring out like the sun. He was wearing a pair of yellow sun glasses with dark shades to finish off his look. "A Day at the beach is what you get with these outfits. The most important parts of going to the beach are the Sun and Waves!"
"The leaves changing is what makes Fall Beautiful!" The next pair came out. The girl was wearing a shirt that looked as if it was made of fallen leaves. The top of her outfit looked like the trunk of a tree. Her sleeves went to the middle of her arm and were left with a ripped up flare that looked like lives still hanging on the tree. Her hair was decorated with a head band that had little leaves of golds and browns and yellows. Her hair was wavy and back out of her eyes. The guy she was with was dressed in pants that matched the girls skirt. The guy was wearing a jacket with specks of brown, orange, yellow, and red in it. His under shirt was much like the girls. "Look just like the beauty of Fall with these outfits!"
Rori sat up everytime a set came out, but none of them were Mikuni. Then he realized they would save the best for last. He sat at the edge of his seat and waited. The music changed and the lights shirted to a frosty blue color.
"Brr, did It just get colder?" Rori blushed when he saw Mikuni come out. He looked like an ice prince. He was so handsome. He didn't even notice the girl walking beside him. He was so transfixed on him. His eyes where blue, they must have used contacts. Blue suited him very well. Rori jumped when he heard a crack. The girl walking next to Mikuni miss stepped. Mikuni reached for her and tried to grab her before she fell from the stage, but wasn't fast enough. She fell to the ground with a thump. Every one quickly got up and ran to her side. A Few girls helped her up and to a chair.
"I am sorry everyone." She winced as she sat down.
"Hurry! Hurry! Get her to the nurse's office!" The room was in an uproar. Lots of things started happening at once, and Rori was lost at what to do, so he remained where he was. Waiting.
--
The nurse looked over at the class. "She will not be able to walk for the next few weeks. She sprained her ankle. You come with me." The nurse took one of the boys that was standing in the back with her when she left the room. The girl had been taken to the nurses office after getting changed back into her real cloths.
The girl looked rather upset. "I am sorry guys. You'll have to find someone else."
"But there are no other girls who are as tiny as you are." One of the girls said. "How will we be able to alter the gown to fit another girl before then?" The girls that had done the sewing started to panic. There was no way they could remake the dress that soon. They had made the outfits so they could alter them later, but not in one night! There was crazy!
Just then Rori walked back into the room with crutches and walked over to the girl. "Here Alyssa. The Nurse said you would need these." Rori helped her up. She thanked him. The sewing girls stopped and looked at Rori and then at Alyssa. They were the same height, and about the same body size. Ideas started to run through there heads. "Hey Rori. Come with us."
Mikuni raised an eyebrow at them as they ushered the other boy off in a hurry. "Wonder what that was about."
--
"Every one gather round!" One of the girls said as she stood on the stage. "We found a replacement for Alyssa!"
Everyone crowded the stage, wanting to see this new girl and see if she was as pretty as Alyssa had been. A buzz went around the room as they tried to figure out who it was that was missing from the class. They looked around but couldn't figure out who it was.
"Come on out!" She motioned to behind the Curtain. Two girls came out with another between them, leading the wobbly girl to the center of the stage. Her hair was long and brown and in tight curls. Half of it pulled back and decorated with little snowflakes and ice sickles. Her eyes were blue, but that was due to contacts, and her make up made her look like a queen of the ice. The boys around the room whistled, causing her to blush as she stood there. "Mikuni come here."
Mikuni walked over and took her hand in his and stood next to her. He was still dressed in his outfit. He held her around her waist with one hand holding hers carefully on top of his own. "Oh you guys look perfect!"
"Who is she?!"
"Is she from this class?!"
The questions filled the air as they stood there. "Of course, What kind of question is that."
"Then who is it? All the girls are accounted for!"
"Yeah, Who is it?!"
"HIS name is Rori." The girl standing nearest to the couple smiled as she watched all of the others in the class. The expressions were mixed, surprise and shock were the most common. Some of the boys were embarrassed that they had thought that he was hott when he first came out. "He was the only one who fit her outfit." The girl smiled evilly. "Mikuni tomorrow you will have to lead Rori. He can not see without his glasses, and I am afraid we can't get prescription contacts. Rori, Tomorrow I want you to the changing room as early as possible. We need to get you set up first, since it takes longer to do you hair and get you ready then anyone else."
Rori nodded. He was embarrassed, and was being held by the one that he was crushing on. He had no idea what to do. Mikuni looked down at him and smiled. "Don't worry, I won't let you fall."
Author's Notes: Happy Holidays Everyone! Hope you liked this chapter. I wasn't going to write anything on it for a while, but because I kept getting Reviews asking for more I decided to give it a go. I have an idea for a new story which I hope to start posting during the new year called "Golden Fawn." I am waiting to finish writing it before I post it. I have a bad habit of posting stories and forgetting to update them. I will keep on this one and try to get another post before the new year, but I can't promise anything. Hope you Enjoyed! Please Review and Guess what will happen next! XD
