As she falls on you like rain,
the smell of earth fills
your lungs
as you twist her hair around your wrists
and drain the stars from her eyes,
catching them
in large blue bowls, wanting to transplant
them into your own eyes,
and shine with
her light.

You watch the rain-
drops drip from her eye-
lashes, feather-fronds
against a starless blue sky, and her tears,
those stars
you had stolen, drip down your cheeks,
staining them blue,
like the veins
in the backs of your palms.
