It doesn’t matter to what level I do love,

Just as long as you know that it is you whom I love

There are many kinds of love

Filial, Platonic, Romantic

The kind of love you feel for a best friend who has been there for so long

Who happens to be gay

There are many ways in which I do love

A fond love, a lingering love

An-I-wish-you’d-look-at me-differently-sort-of-love

But then again, I loved you because

Of the reason

That you would never look at me with eyes filled with love

So it is a strange sort of love.

A fond, lingering, I-don’t-know-what-level, strange sort of love

There is nothing to call that love.

But I do believe there are many ways in which a person can love.

Can name that love

And for you I feel

…the “Manny love”

There is no other way to name that Filial, Platonic, Romantic type of love

You feel for your gay best friend

But Manny, my love?

And I do wish you’d know that it is you whom I love

I’ll forever “Manny love”
