Woke up in the morning with a smile on my face,
came to school with perfect clothes and hair.
Saw you standing there at the side of the road,
I waved at you but you ignored and looked away.
-
Now I wake up in the morning with a frown on my face.
I go to school with dirty clothes and messed up hair.
Now I see you standing next to her
and bitter tears of hate stream down my face.
-
I watch you talking with the cute honey blonde,
and I watch your face fall as she turns away,
I watch smugly as you finally realize
that life and fairytales just don't combine.
-
Maybe fairy tales don't always come true.
Maybe you need a good dose of reality.
Maybe you should look up and see
that the hero might just be me.
