Planting Toward the New Millennium

Don’t cut down trees for no reason at all

And don’t sit there and watch them fall

Love a tree with all your might

No matter if it’s day or night

The year 2000 is on the way

And trees need room for a robin or jay

Oh, look! Time is wasting

Help trees before day

Because the year 2000 is on the way.

PLANT TREES IS 2000!

So I won 3rd place for this for an Arbor Day contest when I was ten years old. :-P The object was for every student in every school to write a poem that talks about trees AND the new millennium. I don’t think enough people wrote about both subjects, so that’s the only reason I can come up with why they chose mine for the third spot. -shakes head- lol. Tell me what you think of my silly little poem.
