Opposites

They are a study in contrasts.

One, a tall, slim figure;

the other, shorter, wider.

One, light skinned and fair haired,

the other dark.

The first quiet, shy and appreciative

while the second is volume and arrogance,

screaming at the world.

The first holds the promises of the future

in his firm grasp.

The second is the past

slowly slipping from a weakening grip.

Two different muses, with separate identities,

yet both have the same

childlike smile.
