War is peace

Have you ever loved something
So hard you'd die for it?
A thoughtful dreamer blanches
Facing loveless, haunted hate
Fiercely fighting for his fire,
Becoming what he loathes.

Freedom is slavery

Isn't liberty beautiful?
Didn't we fight in God's name
And build a nation in which we
Can worship in a church
Run by a pastor who works
On the side as a CEO?
As long as the television is on
In the background, as long as
Our elders claim unquestioning acceptance,
As long as we memorize instead
Of learn, we will be slaves.

Knowledge is ignorance

Truth seems more and more like
a myth. Why do pedants seem
so confident whn the more you
Know, the stupider you feel?
Why do idiots when the common
Knowledge is almost never true?
