You might think they are fake, especially if you are in the audience

They are real though,

There might be a set time to let them out but they have been bottled in for too long already

Just an excuse to cry like a baby in front of everybody and then have everyone cheer you on when it's all over

People don't realize the acting behind stage tears is when you try not to cry until that moment in the play...
