Gathering together her mistakes,
one by one she lets go and watches as they
rise, tip precarious-like on the edge of the sky,
great tacky carnival balloons,
colorful rubber shiny mistakes, floating, rising, spiking until
one by one they pop! stop and block
(for a second) the sun;
choked finally, once and for all, on their own self-importance,
their own supposing that they were forever and ever,
as old and permanent as the sun.
One by one, one by one. Great colorful
shiny, mistakes.
