Author's Note: This poem was written by my mother years ago but I thought it was really pretty...Let me know what you think, if you want to read it...
Her Rays Beam Just The Same
In her eyes a light shines
The brightness of many a day
In her eyes the sun goes down
Her rays beam just the same
Wonder lies around her while mystery fills the air
Smoke filled rooms and silent moons
Excitement fills the air
But no one knows the wonder as her beauty lies in the clouds
In her eyes the sun goes down
Her rays beam just the same
But the rays of the sun are faded while emptiness leaves a scar
And the smoke filled rooms with the silent moons
Let people know she's there
In her eyes it's apparent the beauty of the spheres
In her eyes the wind blows
Electricity in the air
She won't give credit to herself when she knows that credit is due
But in the smoke filled rooms watching silent moons
The people know she's there
In times of the deepest sorrow they run to her side and cry
In her eyes they find comfort
Sensitivity of her mind
Her name is not important nor who she is to me
But in her eyes the sun goes down
Her rays beam just the same
She has so much to offer but now she's withered away
They try to learn the wonder
Sensitivity of her mind
But not one will learn the wisdom
Not one will learn her pain
Not one will share her sunrise
Now her rays beams just the same
