So, I started this story a while ago, and didn’t ever do anything on it. I’m having a bit of writer’s block on my other story, so I’m writing another one to keep my creative juices flowing. I think you’ll like this one because it’s original and unlike anything I’ve ever done. It’s not as depressing or sad…and I’m rambling.

I won’t be updating as frequently as I would like, but at least I will be posting at all. I just have so much to do, and I hope you understand.

The world is a strange place; my world, that is. No matter what you do, you can’t escape the truth. There are too many patches of gray, in a world of black and white. At least in my case it was: there are too many patches of green in a world of black and white.

The world I lived in wasn’t the one you would see today. You see; I lived in a parallel universe, where everything was literally black and white. Everyone’s skin was a pasty shade of gray; their hair, gray; the earth they walked on, gray; even the sun was gray. Everything was, except two things: my eyes. I was born with green eyes. I was the only one with colored anything. It was the only color people had seen in centuries, and instead of it being a gift, it was my curse.

Ever since the moment I was born, my parents loathed me. Everything I did was never good enough. Even they tormented me about being different. I had one friend who was seen as a delinquent in everyone’s eyes, but my green ones. She was only trying to find her purpose, but in this black and white world, it was either their way or no way.

In our world, everyone was the same color; they even wore the same clothes because no store sold anything different. Every house looked the same to the point where you had to pay close attention to the numbers on the houses to make sure you were in the right place. Everyone was equal and communistic, except for those with a seat in the government. There was no drama. Everything looked the same because everything was the same. Everything was plain and simply dull.

I think you get the point.

Just to get out of the ordinary situations, and away from the mundane personalities, I would find myself in another world entirely. Too bad it was only in my mind. I was the only one who knew about it, and I was the only one that wanted it to be real. But, I’ll get to that point later…

Just to sum up this short introduction; I was sick of my life, but who isn’t at some point?
