It snows,

flakes swirl in a blurry mess of white.

They dance an intricate dance- a ballerina collides with another,

sending each other cascading away into the group.

The snow tumbles, falls and rolls,

almost as if the snowflakes are frolicking in the winter's half-light,

my thoughts turn to you;

across water,

now dotted by snow.

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder,

how do they have the knowledge to say such things?

ah, but for the sweetness of a single glance, a touch, a whisper...

life comes to a stand-still, enclosing me in my thoughts.

The snow is comforting, wrapping around me like a blanket,

dusting my hair and skin with a silky smoothness.

It's almost as if you're here too.

ah, my friend, for I may call myself your friend, may I not?

For my thoughts spend more time with you then anywhere else,

and where my thoughts are, that is where i truly am.
