This is a mini story I decided to write when I was really really interested in Greek Mythology. I still am, due to the fact that the stories are really interesting, but not as much as I was when I wrote this. Well, here it is!

Aeneas’ Story

Aeneas had saved a little village by the sea in Greece. One of the gods had seen this act of courage, strength, wit, and kindness. The god was Hermes, messenger of Zeus. He informed the other gods and in return for Aeneas’s good deed, they decided to have a fantastic feast in his honor. The feast went on for one week. He enjoyed it very much but said it was nothing without his family. So the gods let him return to earth.

Some of the familiar things he once knew had changed. He went to his home and had found out his family had moved. But, to where, he did not know. So Aeneas searched and found out the address of his families new home. They had moved from the island of Crete, to Athens. When he had found his families new house he knocked and the door was opened by his son, Aetos. The son starred in awe at his father. He called his mother, Alethea, and she came to the door. She leaped with joy into her husband’s arms crying the entire time.

His family looked different to him, older. He did not know how long it had been, only thought that a few weeks had passed. Later that night Alethea informed him that the night of his disappearance, many men had looked for him, but he was never found. So no longer able to stay in the house, for it was unbearable because the house was filled with Aeneas, she took their son and moved to Athens. Aeneas found out that two years had passed. Although his wife was still young and beautiful, he had missed two years of Aetos’s life. So to make up for it, he spent almost every day with his family. Aeneas was known as another true hero of Greece, for a true hero is not measured by his strength but by the size and love of his heart. He was still a brave warrior and saved many people’s lives from danger, but he had learned his lesson. The next time the gods had a feast held for him, which was quite often, he brought his family and stayed but for one day and did not miss much on earth, during that one day on Mt. Olympus.

So how was it? I know it's incredibly short, and I may end up writing more to it, like fleshing out the middle and more to the end. Maybe change the ending from the happily ever after thing. Some of it probably sucks lol...
