Everything was gone, Rio stood there trembling took over his body as he faced the nothingness ahead of him. They were all gone...everyone...including L. He felt tears build up and took off he ran to whenever his feet would take him. He stopped and noticed figures moving, the smoke was clouding his vision. He raised an hand up to mouth and gave out a horrible cough.

A cry could be heard, it seemed so close. He looked around to see where it was coming from and took off. The ground below his feet was rocky and crumbled...where were they...Drake had taken off because of Lex so they were out...that just left L...L!.

His eyes widened and stopped, his other hand clutched his fist and growled under his breath and lowered his arm, "L!" he cried out and scanned the smoky area where he stood alone. He saw a figure run past him and to the outskirts. He frowned, "L!" he yelled and took after it. His feet moved swiftly after him...this wasn't funny anymore...why wouldn't L stop?

Rio was almost close to grabbing the figure when he tripped and landed forward, he felt something soft under him and sat up slowly. His hands were covered in a liquid, he looked around. "L!" he yelled, his voice sounded even more worried and his eyes filled with panic as he breathed heavily. Slowly the smoke started clearing up, he looked around and then turned his gaze to his hands. His body stiffened and began to shake uncontrollable.

Blood?...why was there blood on his hands. His eyes filled with tears and looked forward when his foot hit something that was soft. His body was beyond the point of relaxing, there before him lay L...No!...anything but him. Tears started rolling down his cheeks and he crawled over and picked up his lifeless body and held it close crying.

"I told you not save me you fool", his eyes swelled up pouring out more tears that he held back, "you never listen me, why?!" he yelled as the drops tears hit the lifeless body that he held dea to him, he never wanted this to happen not to L...anyone but L, he never deserved this. "I still didn't get to till you" he cried. Slowly he got up and picked up L's body and held him bridal style in his arms. He walked through the clouds of smoke until he reached a peace that was peaceful, he started digging nails catching dirt and gathering it underneath. He growled as he worked, at least he would something for him before L left him forever.

After covering the grave up and he stood there, rain had started to pour. His hair hung lifeless in front of his eyes the tears mixing in with the water that piled on the ground. He clentched his dirt covered hands, "L..", he cried body still shaking but not as much, "I...I...I love you" he said and fell to the ground on his knees and pounded the ground with fists and stared at the pile.

Rio's eyes shot open and he sat straight up in bed, a thick layer of sweat had covered his forehead and his eyes hurt from the crying he did. He pinched himself and got up darting for the dorm room window. it was a beautiful day out then kind L would have enjoyed...L?! was he alright?. He turned hearing the door open, he could feel his knees tremble like they were about to give way, did something happen to him. He cursed hoping it wasn't real.

A head poked through the crack of the open door, the shaggy light brown was the same, Rio watched eyes wide. Bright ale eyes blinked and a grin spread across the face, "Rio your awake" said the cheerful voice and stepped inside. Next thing the person knew he was wrapped tightly in Rio's arms and pulled close into a hug, "L...your ok" he whispered softly.

L blinked again and looked over at his dear friend and hugged him back, "of course I am why wouldn't I be?" he asked and rested his head on his shoulder, Rio was a bit taller then him, but warm and he loved being close to him. He was just shocked by his action...was Rio worried that something happened to him?

Rio pulled away and reached up grabbing his chin lightly and titling his face so they locked gazes. "There was something I needed to tell you before anything happened", he took a deep breath and leaned in placing his lips on the younger boys. L's lips tasted sweet and they were soft not like he imagined at all.

L's eyes widened a bit and leaned into the kiss, a warm feeling ran through his body as he reached up wrapping his arms around Rio's neck. He always knew how to make him feel better. His fingers dug slightly into his shoulders as he pulled away.

Their foreheads touched, Rio's smile was soft and gently and he looked down at younger boy, "I care for you...alot", he closed his eyes and sighed softly, "I...love you" he said and opened his eyes only to lock gazes with L.

He smiled and leaned in kissing him quickly and touched their noses together, "I'm glad cause I love you to" he said and smiled brightly at him.
