swirls of consciousness
tiny craters in a
pockmarked moon
peppered with dents from
"better ideas"
mere shadows
in a supposed
World of Dark.

do you fill the dents in?
or shine a light into the ebony abyss?
or do you turn from the world
with the abstract notion
that you are above us all
and will not
stoop to
