It’s an up and down

Pull, that of one’s

Emotions

Strained to the brink

Of destruction, one’s

Heart

Torn, ripped at

The seems, one’s

Spirit

And, when screaming

In a whispered voice, one is

Silenced

Tears streak,

Make black, one’s

Face

Cuts run deep

Beneath the surface of one’s

Façade

So, when screaming

Quietly on the inside, one is left internally

Bleeding
