The Promise Keeper

Regret me not, I sold the past
So my heart won't feel
I sold it to the Promise Keeper,
For the promise keeper cannot tell a lie
"You mustn't dwell dear,"
Said the Promise Keeper to me
"For that is why you have come:
I sold my past to the Promise Keeper
I know it'll have its place there
For such a desire of such a bright future
Cannot hold such an ugly past
Sell your regrets, for it is release
As you gave in to lusting desires
Dark, dangerous temptations
At such a high cost
That dug your grave
So you sell it, to the Promise Keeper
And she will save your soul
