AN: Happy Birthday Justin! So, yeah, a gift for him. (He wanted me to pair him with another classmate...he should have chosen Blake. -hinthintnudgenudgewinkwink-

Disclaimer: So yeah, the character names belong to me, their characters belong to their real life owners.

---

Jackson snickered to himself as he peered out from behind the paint-splattered tree. Pushing his goggles up his forehead, (And further mussing his already mussed black hair in the process,) he lowered his face to aim directly at his...target. Heheheh...

---

"Syndy!" Lena called as she stepped into the clearing, clutching the paintball gun that she had next-to-no idea how to use. Dropping the heavy piece of machinery, she plunged her hand into her pants pocket and pulled out her cell phone, her other hand retching the annoying goggles off her face.

"Gaygaygay..." she murmured under her breath, pushing the number on speed dial that would call her friend.

"Hello?" came the uncertain sound of her friend's voice.

Lena gripped the phone, looking nervously around at the waning daylight.

"Where the fu-" Lena began, before she abruptly dropped the electronic object and gasped. A sudden whisp of air had passed right by her head, and another right by her shoulder. And that could only mean one thing when your whole class is on a field trip to the Paintball fields.

Oh. My. GOD.

Lena dived to the ground, and pulled her arms over her to cover her head and the back of her neck. When the 'whizzz' of fire stopped, Lena took the moment to desperately reach out and grasp her paintball gun, before standing up and running like hell into the nearby forest.

---

Jackson muttered a less-than-pleasant word under his breath as he saw that he had missed and that his little 'target' had gotten away.

"Oh, come on! What the hell?!"

Pulling his goggles back over his eyes, he whirled around and retreated in the opposite direction, heading the way his target had appeared to take.

---

Upon realizing she had forgotten her cell phone in the clearing, Lena reluctantly trudged back to her previous position. How fecking gay was this field trip? Why couldn't they have gone to like, the mall, or something that didn't involve running for your life?

It was dusk now. How long was this all supposed to go on for? She didn't even notice the fact that a nearby tree was staring at her until...

"Rawr!" a sudden voice made Lena jump around five feet in the air, and fall down on the ground out of fright. Her heart pounding, she cried, "Who's there?"

A laugh, and then a reply. "Oh my god, you should have seen your face!"

Lena's face abruptly turned a bright red. "Syndy, what the freak is wrong with you?"

Syndy laughed again, settling her gun on her left shoulder. "There aren't many people left now. Gotta be careful."

"I'll say." a voice chimed in. The two girls looked up to see Amber, another girl on their team. "We never should have agreed to have played Boy Versus Girls. We're all gonna die." Amber suddenly grinned and tapped the forest green headgear she was wearing. "But I've got a helmet."

Syndy and Lena were looking at their comrade with 'WTF' expressions, before Syndy piped up, "How many girls are still-" but was ultimately silenced as she gasped and fell forward, the sound of a bullet of paint hitting her back resounding off the forest trees.

Amber gained a look of pure horror before screeching "TWO!"

---

Jackson smirked to himself as he saw Syndy go down, (By his own paint gun, thank you very much.) and Amber screech. Woot.

'One down, two to go...then we win!' he thought to himself, going closer, and turning in the direction that Amber had gone.

---

Syndy reluctantly traipsed back to the front gates to sit next to the other fallen players. Plunking herself down by Bretta, she asked, "What's happening?"

Bretta turned and said, "For one, this game's boring me to heck. Two, there are two guys and two girls left now, and three: It's Lena, Amber, Jackson, and Baile. From what I've heard, Baile and Jackson are goin' after Amber, and Lena's walking around clueless."

"That sounds about right." Syndy smirked, amused by her friend's retard-like actions.

"Baile is out!" the commentator, Jaidan, shouted. "And, Amber too!"

"Then that means..." Bretta began...

---

Trailing after Amber's oblivious back, Jackson slipped behind a nearby tree when he heard footsteps from someone that wasn't him or Amber.

Jackson saw Amber duck behind a large bush, and aim her gun at something in the distance.

Baile. Jackson nearly shouted his teammate's name, but he couldn't give himself away like that. Said dark haired boy, Baile, looked over his shoulder, only to be met with a hit to the chest.

Looking down at himself, he pursed his lips and ground out, "...Damnit..." before stomping away in the direction of the starting gates.

Amber let out a victorious 'Yeah!' as Jackson, out of his anger, cocked his gun and pulled the trigger, hitting the exuberant girl in the back.

"Wha!" she shrieked, falling forward. Cocking her head to look at him, she spat, "Dang it. You suck."

"Looks like your helmet didn't save you after all." Jackson remarked, raising an eyebrow.

Amber pulled herself up and angrily marched off after Baile's retreating back.

'One left...' Jackson thought to himself, smirking about how easy this would all be.

---

Lena kept looking over he shoulder, the moon beginning to rise in the sky, and the shadows of everything sticking out in stark contrast to the bright light of the flashlight mounted on top of her paintball gun. At this moment, everything had turned a monochrome hue, the green of the trees becoming an ashen gray.

Squeaking as she stepped on-and snapped-a twig, she held up her gun in front of herself, it offering little protection against the darkness.

"Leeeennnaah..." something whispered, as she gasped and backed into a tree.

She froze as something cold touched her arms. Trees weren't supposed to be that smooth...were they?

WAIT. This ain't no freaking tree!

Turning around, her gun trapped between her form and his, she looked up into the grinning face of Jackson. He laughed softly, and said, "Gotcha."

"Not quite." Lena replied, casting her eyes downward. Both of their guns were trapped between them.

"Well..." 'This had been unexpected. Really.' Jackson thought, attempting to take a step back. Upon doing so, Lena quickly responded by pushing against him once more, effectively making so neither of them could life their guns. Gripping his tighter, Jackson barred his teeth and said, "What are you gonna do, Lena?" his breath passed over her cheek, and his nose was almost pressing against her's. Almost.

Lena had been thinking about that. She had to get him to drop his gun somehow, and she had come to one conclusion.

"This." And, before she fully knew what she was doing, she had tilted her head upwards and pressed her pale, warm lips against his.

Jackson was shocked at first, of course, but not for long. Wanting to close the gap between them, he released his hold on his paintball gun so that it clattered to the ground, forgetting the fact that Lena still held her's in her grasp. Breaking the kiss suddenly, lena stumbled back and pointed her gun directly at his chest, his eyes going wide as he realized his mistake.

"Gotcha."

AN: Haha, Justin lost. :P Oh yes, well I know whack about paintball, so please excuse all inaccuracies. PLZKTHX. Hope you liked it Justin!

P.S. I have a CAMEO! That Amber person is MEH! (And the retarded 'Helmet' quote she says is something my friend says a lot.)
