She was the last person he expected to see when he entered his home. Yet there she was kneeling on the ground, her elegant black dress splayed around her, hands gracefully placed in her lap. Her pale complexion was contrasted by a collection of tight red curls flowing down the sides of her face, lit by the sparkling pixies the light danced off of. The very sight of her beauty caused his heart to skip a beat and his breath to hitch in his throat.

After a brief moment of surprise, he realized that her face was stained with tears. Heart breaking, he approached her quickly, pulling back his black hood. Falling beside her, he held her hands in one of his and gently caressed her damp cheek with long, Zurgian fingers. "RJU... what happened? Are you hurt?"

RJU shook her head, and held his hand tightly. "Sorn, I... I'm sorry..." she whispered, leaning against him.

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Her head was nestled under his chin- it fit perfectly, he realized with a soft smile. "RJU, love... what's wrong?" he asked again, rubbing her back soothingly.

RJU sat up and wiped the tears from her eyes. Staring at her lap, she whispered, "I... had a dream..." taking a deep breath and looking into his large, deeply concerned eyes, she continued.

"I was walking to your house when Tai found me... she told me that you were leaving. My heart sank, I can still feel it..." Putting a hand to her chest, she took a breath and smiled up at him in thanks when he squeezed her shoulder comfortingly.

"I remember... running to the landing sight... your ships were all there. I ran to each UFO, because I couldn't remember... I couldn't remember where you had been...

And by the time I reached you, you were flying away..." Fresh tears fell from her eyes, and Sorn, heart torn, pulled her close. Closing his eyes tightly, he felt a tear slip out and down his cheek. "I never got to say goodbye..." she whispered. "I woke up... and... and I had to be near you. So I came here."

They held each other for a moment. Sorn rubbed her back comfortingly as her sorrow sunk into him. Lifting her chin, he whispered, "RJU, I'm... I'm so sorry I wasn't here. That..." Without thinking, he pulled their faces close, his lips covering hers.

Shocked at his own actions, his eyes shot open, and he was met with the sight of a similarly shocked RJU. Immediately, however, her eyes closed and she returned the kiss with a passion neither had experienced before.

Falling deep within the moment, tears streamed down their faces, bodies overwhelmed by the raw passion. Electricity flowed from one to the other as their bodies touched, melding together. They clung together as if they feared the other would disappear. Breaths quickened, senses heightened, and a feeling of euphoria fell over them both.

The kiss lasted for a number of minutes before Sorn pulled away. Staring into RJU's eyes, both of them blushing deeper than her curly crimson locks, he held his hand against the side of her face. His thumb stroking her cheek, he whispered, "RJU, I love you. I love you, and I always will. Nothing can take this feeling from me." Kissing her swiftly once more, he continued, "I will leave this world, but I will always come back. I will not leave you for long, and I will never leave without saying goodbye." His emotions got the better of him, and they fell into another embrace, losing themselves in another passionate kiss.
