Web of Love.

I love you,” she said

With a heart so earnest,

So full of enthusiasm,

So ready to love and give,

She said that

With all the might she could ever muster

& I love you too,” he replied

So flippantly,

So readily,

So full of misleading pretence

He said that

With all the pretence he could ever muster

Days passed,

Nights too,

She found nothing but pretence,

But a pretence so fake,

She found no loopholes to it.

He found a love so pure,

So very innocent,

He found no way to reject her love

Months passed,

Years too,

&they fell into a web,

An innocent,

Pretending

Web of love.

A/N: My first attempt at poetry after months and months of hiatus. It might not be my best attempt, so please do review and tell me what I should change about this new style of poetry I'm currently experimenting with. Thank you.
