It’s the child that tells us when we’ve lost our minds

It’s the words you lost that you’ll never find

When talking to that girl that stole your heart for good

And you’ll try to talk but realize that you never should

It’s all just a lie!

So, tell me when I have to go home

Because I’m a little bit drunk and really sad

I should never have nights like this

Where I drink alcohol like water

It’s all just a reflex

You can tell me that I’m wrong

But I’ll just laugh it off

I have to explain this to no one

She left a long time ago and hasn’t looked back

It’s all just an excuse!

Now when I’m holding your hand

Don’t tell me the world’s coming to an end

I just want to rest a little bit

And I can only sleep with you next to me

It’s all just a comfort

And your reflexes they all left you

And your excuses never held water

And your comforts are parasitic

You’re left with only your lies
